Private Training

Smart DOGS Private One-On-One Training takes a one-on-one approach customizing training to your needs. We tailor our private sessions to you and your dogs specific goals, working in your home and around your neighbourhood to create relevant, real life, training situations and provide you with one-on-one, goal oriented training. Our private obedience lessons are offered on a flexible schedule and are often the best way to deal with behavioural problems or specific issues that you are having with your dog. They are great for people with busy schedules as our timing is flexible. Private training is the preferred option, especially for those who are serious about training their dog to higher standards or who are experiencing behavioural issues. 4 months and up.

Our Private DOG Training package consists of 4, one hour, in-home sessions where we teach (re-teach or refresh) the basics of obedience (which is extremely important in reducing behavioural issues) and we work on specific issues that you would like to target with your dog.

Smart PUPPY Private One-On-One Training  takes an individual approach to starting your puppy off on the right paw. Learn how to work with your puppy to make obedience training enjoyable, address specific puppy issues, crate training, house training and over all good manners. Our private puppy lessons are offered on a flexible schedule and are often the best way to start training a young pup as they learn in the comfort of their own home, making training more relevant and successful than a group puppy class. This is a great option for people with busy schedules as our timing is flexible. Private training is the preferred option for puppies under 16 weeks of age.

Our Private PUPPY Training package consists of 3, one hour, in-home sessions where we start the pups on the basics of obedience and we work on specific puppy issues such as house training, crate training, nipping, etc. that you would like to target with your new addition.

Smart DOGS/PUPPY House Training (also utilized for older dogs) is a single session that gives you a fantastic head start on house training, crate training and more! We cover a ton of important information over the 1.5-2 hours that this session runs for. We will help you with a schedule, supervision, equipment needed, crate and other important information that pertains to puppies, newly acquired dogs or minor behavioural problems. We focus on house training, as this is the first thing that many owners experience issues with, and give you the confidence to move forward correctly with your puppy/dog. However, this session isn't limited to house training. We use this for problem solving and work on an individual basis per each owner/dog/situation.

Our House Training consists of a single session, 1.5-2 hrs in your home where we give you all you need to know to help with house training, crate training and more! For newly acquired puppies and dogs, also for work on minor behavioural issues. There is no obedience training involved with this package. We supply handouts/videos to reference back to.

Private lessons are available on a by-appointment basis.

HST is applicable on all prices. Private One-On-One Packages MUST be used up within TWO MONTHS from the date
of sign up.
We recommend that you follow through with homework, our guidance, direction and train each day as instructed with consistency to get the most out of our training packages.
*Please note, training progresses on an individual basis - some dogs learn faster than others. Often times, to improve behavioural problems or even minor training issues, it takes changing how the owner handles and interacts with the dog in order for training to be effective.
We guarantee that your dog will learn from our programs and improve their skills.
We can not guarantee the outcome of our private training programs as it is up to you, the owner, to put the work in to get the most out of training.
