Have you found that dog obedience in a class type setting works best when you're trying to get your dog trained? I've been trying to train our new dog for a while now without much luck. Do you think I should consider a class?
ReplyDeleteHi Roy,
ReplyDeleteWell, it does depend on the dog as well as the owner. I find private training to be the most beneficial because it is geared towards your own dog. However, if you are looking to train around controlled distractions or are training your dog to behave around other dogs and people, then group class is excellent for this.
Group class does pose an issue for dogs with low distraction tolerance, but that's where the owners have to step up their game and become either more exciting than the distractions or get a bit tougher with their dogs.
Hope that helps.
